(Perspectives After The Jump)

View from the Student Section - A Perspective from Campus:

I saw the Casual Award for student-attendance but to be honest, the turnout wasn't very good. I think people forget that we are supposed to take up both sides behind the basket, from the floor to the very top. There is an overflow section in the 400s as well. I am pretty disappointed in the student turnout (in terms of numbers) for the opening game of the season, but satisfied by the intensity that the students that showed up maintained throughout the game.

Our home schedule really isn't very inviting, but word of the Hoyas performance has spread throughout campus. I really hope more students come out and support the team tonight - they deserve it after this weekend's performance.

View from the Court Side Seats - A Perspective from OldHoya:

Before touching on tonight's game, OldHoya wants to applaud Saturday's game, which began poorly but ended on an excellent note. Plenty of kinks to be worked through but the freshmen looked solid and there was some outstanding upper class leadership.

Living in the present, this UNC Greensboro game is one that shouldn't be a tremendous challenge but judging by the struggles that teams like Arizona and Pitt have had over the weekend, Georgetown can't afford to take anyone for granted. Greensboro looks to be a middle of the pack mid major but let's be honest, Greensboro means one thing - the ACC Tournament. And if the upcoming versions force the good people of Greensboro to welcome Cuse and Pitt fans for an entire week, they'll quickly regret pillaging the Big East.

Finally, has anyone taken a look at this Maui Invitational thing? Most of you know that Georgetown will be heading to Maui in another week but this game versus Greensboro is part of the same tournament. Of course, UNC Greensboro is playing in the "Mainland" portion and will take an exciting trip to Murfeesboro, Tennessee rather than enjoying the fun and sun in Hawaii. OldHoya knows a raw deal when he sees one and that stinks for UNC Greensboro.

View from the Enemy- A Perspective from our Sleeping With The Enemy Interview:

Unless Kyle Hines comes back, and brings some of his teammates from the pro leagues, it will be Georgetown by 30ish.

JahidiLikesPie Nervous Level:

LOW

It was great to be back in the VC on Saturday. Lots of new faces on the floor. It was great to see everyone get some time on floor and have some individual success. It was also great to discover that Uncle Ted has decided to offer Coors Light Grenades. What a treat!

I have no thought on tonight's game other than to hope that we continue to give minutes to the younger guys and work hard on defense. Nerves aren't really a factor for me. I will probably be proven wrong

View from the Sportsbook (via DonBest) - A Perspective from Vegas:

The Line: Georgetown -20.5

I would take Georgetown in this one of the line were -50! Are you kidding me? Henry Sims is unstoppable! The freshmen are invincible! NEW ORLEANS OR BUST.

The pick is UNC Greensboro +20.5. Final score Georgetown 74 - Spartans 55.

Casual Hoya is 0-1 ATS this season and was 18-14 ATS last season.
