Breaking news from Chris Littman's Twitter account. Georgetown will be entering the 2011 Maui Invitational.
Granted, this wouldn't be enormous news, other than the fact that Duke, Kansas, UCLA, Michigan, Memphis and Tennessee will also be involved.
Wow. That is an unbelievable roster of teams. Duke, Kansas, Memphis and Tennessee figure to be ranked in the top 10 preseason next year, not to mention Michigan and UCLA are looking much better after off years last year.
JT3 must have a ton of confidence in our team for 2011-2012 to enter us in a tournament that stacked, especially considering we will be without Chris Wright, Austin Freeman and Julian Vaughn.
Kudos to JT3 for continuing to schedule challenging out of conference games. COUGH COUGH SYRACUSE.
