Austin Freeman Tells UConn "Child Please": Georgetown Wins 72-69

Child please.  After a first half where everything went wrong for Georgetown, Austin Freeman carried the Hoyas on his broad shoulders for a 72-69 victory in Washington, DC.  Freeman finished the game with 33 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals, with 28 points coming in the second half.  UConn scored 29 points as a team in the second half.  We'll let that marinate for a bit.

Julian Vaughn played huge in the last minute, getting an offensive rebound and a tip in.  Chris Wright added 14 points, while Greg Monroe finished with 15 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, 1 block, and an additional 50+ HoyaTalk haters.

It is worth noting that Freeman has averaged 27 points since the two of us had a Twitter disagreement.

Apparently, we enjoy beating UConn 72-69 in the Verizon Center, which is the same score as the 2008 game when Roy Hibbert hit the game winning three.

The Class of 2010 will graduate never seeing the Hoyas lose to the UConnvicts.  I hope Roscoe Smith was watching, I also hope to one day heckle the ever-living S%$^ out of him.

More to follow tomorrow.  I'm still shaking.
