Why do they do this to us?

As big of a win as they come.

Hoyas pull out a 56-54 victory on the road against the 12th ranked team in the nation, in a game that you had a sense if it lasted 30 more seconds the outcome may have been different. The Hoyas had 25 turnovers, didn't score from the 6:14 mark until there were 48 seconds left, shot 1/3 of as many free throws, and Greg Monroe didn't have a basket in the entire 2nd half. Not exactly the ingredients to success, but whatever.

The pulse of Georgetown's Dance hopes isn't dead yet, but perhaps is now more than just faint. If you figure the Hoyas take the next two against the Johnnies and woeful Blue Demons, they're sitting at 17-12 (8-10) with the #1 Strength of Schedule in the country, a top 40 RPI, and wins over UConn, Memphis (likely both #1 seeds), 'Cuse, and now at Nova.

I hate to say it, but should the Hoyas win the next 2 and then bank a win in the BET, it's a harder argument to leave them out come March 15th than it is to include them.

This game was ugly, but a win is a win. 5 in a row against Jay Wright's Dandies. Nice purple shirt, Coach.

Way to keep the dream alive, Boys. Well, at least until Tuesday night.

Casually.
