Armchair scouting

I'm sure at this point in the season we're all wondering what JT3 and staff are up to in regards to scouting. If we look at what we have for a team in the coming future a glaring hole has once again formed in the front court. This sinkhole has been forming like a nagging roadside pothole since the departure of Henry Sims. And even before Sims City the hole was filled in with a Florida State transfer, Julian Vaughn. Transfer #2, our hope and savior Joshua Smith has all but saved the Hoya's for the 2013-14 season. Furthermore, even if he does return for his last season will he be the McDonald's All-American that we had hoped for? Next season when Joshua Smith leaves the Hilltop he will be leaving with Moses Ayegba and our new found savior Mikael Hopkins. Yep I said it, Hopkins our savior! This is the time to react, at this moment we need to undo old habits and load up in poorly manned positions! We need a true center, Hayes unproven as he is will not be able to man the five by himself. Even if he was a 5 star recruit it is far too much to ask of him. With all of the highly skilled athletic power forwards coming on board it makes perfect since for this armchair recruit to grab another big-man to help hold down the front court for the near future. If all goes well, Hayes will learn the offense and make use of his 7-foot frame on the defensive side of the ball. The rest of the minutes could very well rest upon Adonis DelaRosa, a 6-11 250lbs big from Christ the King in NY. DelaRosa is not rated very high but he is a solid 3 star recruit with a soft touch around the rim and post moves. A year behind Smith, DelaRosa could work on his conditioning and learn the JT3 system. We need to fill the void in the front court, every year it's the same thing. I often wonder what Othella Harrington's part is in all of this, can he put down the gum and just coach a little.

Stay Casual, my friends.
