View from the DJ Booth - A Musical Perspective from lordnick:
All you double-stuff eating, pajama-wearing basement dwellers can complain all you want about how the Blog DJ ruined the win streak because it was a Cranberries interview and not a song. You prayed to the Blog DJ, you praised, you offered your sacrifices and for what?
Well, what's the point of becoming an idol if you can't spit upon your idolaters.
Suck it. Let's see a gif of Kate Upton dance to this.
View from the Student Section - A Youthful Perspective from Campus:
Well Hoyas and Hoyettes, this is it, the day we've had marked on our calendars since like May. Saturday marks the end of an era. Most of us will be sad to see the rivalries end, but none of us will miss having to deal with the likes of the Orangemen. On Saturday, the Verizon Center will be full to the rim as the Hoyas face the hated Orange of Syracuse for (likely) the last time as Big East opponents. I'll be honest, when I showed up on campus freshman year, I hate a greater hatred for Pittsburgh and Villanova than I had for Syracuse. However, I have learned to hate the Orange in just about every way possible. If not for Penn State, they might be the most glaring example of a lack of institutional control that exists in this country. They are an embarrassment of an academic institution that absolves every single one of their athlete-students of accountability for their actions both inside and outside of the classroom. They are the the opposite of class. The worst part of it all is that they, and the rest of the nation, seem to be completely and blissfully unaware of these facts. It is for these reasons that I really, really, REALLY want to beat these assholes on Saturday. I was vulgar 2 years ago but that will be nothing compared to the vitriol that will be spewed from the moment I spot the first orange-clad sub-human. This one, as they say, is for all the marbles, the whole enchilada. I would say that my drinking is going to start early, but I think I have to save my liver for CXIV. It has been a pleasure writing for this great lunch blog throughout the season and I hope to share a victorious toast with each and every one of you degenerates tomorrow afternoon. Show up at 9:30, be INCREDIBLY loud, and wear every gray article you own. Hoya MFing Saxa.
