Four Blog DJ's, four Hoyas in double figures. A coincidence? I think not. Huge shout out to MCHoya with the Van Halen pick, long may the win streak continue.
Stay focused Hoyas, and lets get some revenge for 2011.
You said I cannot get there from here, baby. And I don't care where I'm going." Sums up the 2013-14 Hoyas after the Northeastern game. We thought we could get an NCAA appearance and then the panic of "bad loss" set in.
"Unchained...hit the ground running!" Sums up the 2013-14 Hoyas after the KSU game, putting up a ridiculous 90 points and silencing doubts for a day or two. Is the plodding offense of years past finally unchained? Wins where we've scored 88 and 90 points suggest the answer is yes.
VCU's Havoc defense can't beat the unchained offense of the Hoyas:
Get embarrassed by Northeastern. Annihilate KSU. Revenge game against #10 VCU. I have no idea what to think - it's been a crazy-ass weekend down in Puerto Rico. There is only one choice...

Boy, nothing like a blowout win against a clearly awful team to get us all back on the delusion train. Was that actually Mikael Hopkins out there or did aliens show up on Friday morning and take over his body? Also, where the hell was all this driving to the basket when we needed it? I really hope this whole "one shitty game followed by one good game" trend isn't going to be continuing for the remainder of the year, because it's getting really old really quick. However, who better than to keep us on this trend than VCU? These guys run a devastating press after every made basket, which means they should get plenty of chances against Georgetown so long as they insist on going to the basket. While it would be great to win this game, I honestly don't think it will be much of a game for very long as the Hoyas have already shown their propensity for mental mistakes. Good thing there will be football on during this one so I can quickly switch back to Joe Buck's monotone and Troy Aikman forgetting where he is when things get out of hand. Shit, I guess it's a lose-lose on Sunday then. Go Cowboys? Hoya Saxa.

The Line: Georgetown +1.5.
Nothing spells revenge like an afternoon delight on a Sunday in Puerto Rico. VCU's press is going to cause Georgetown fits, but the Hoyas have seen this stuff before. Last season, Markel Starks masterfully guided Georgetown to a win over Louisville and the pressing duo of Peyton Siva and Russ Smith, and those two guys are way better than anyone on the Rams. Assuming the Hoyas can break the press and dictate tempo, Georgetown could win this one going away.
I think.
The pick is Georgetown -1. Final score Hoyas 75 - Rams 67.
Casual Hoya is 3-1 ATS this season.
Overall 77-45-1.
