Today's news of Notre Dame leaving the Big East to become a non-football member of the ACC has resulted in the ACC having 15 member schools. Clearly the ACC isn't going to stay put with 15 members and may look to add a 16th school soon.
Speculation about ACC wanting basketball-only 16th member to keep even numbers for football and hoops makes sense to me. Hello, Georgetown?

Should Georgetown consider leaving the Big East to join the ACC as a basketball-only member?

Should Georgetown Leave The Big East And Join the ACC?
Yes. The time is right and the opportunity is there. I'm a Big East loyalist, but there's just too much uncertainty about the future of the Conference. (899 votes)
No. Georgetown is a traditional Big East power and should remain so no matter what the League looks like going forward. (297 votes)
