According to this report from City of Basketball Love, Class of 2013 forward Brandon Austin has backed out of his verbal commitment to Penn State in the wake of today's sanctions and is eyeing a number of schools, including Georgetown.

More on Austin after The Jump:

Per a source, CoBL has confirmed that Austin de-committed this past Tuesday, but will not be commenting on his decision until later this week. The same source tells CoBL that Georgetown, Kentucky, Ohio State, Syracuse, UCLA, Florida and Baylor have all contacted his AAU and high school coach.

Austin, a four-star prospect and the 90th ranked player on ESPN's Top 100, had offers from other Division I schools including Villanova, Georgetown, Syracuse, Miami (FL), Tennessee and Rutgers before he chose Penn State.

Though I'm not sure how serious Georgetown's interest really is in Austin given the lack of available scholarships in 2013, for further info on Austin check out Penn State's SB Nation site, Black Shoe Diaries, which I'm sure is struggling for page views today.
