Can we just fast-forward to March? by Dana O'Neill
1. John Thompson III is underrated.
I say I think I know that because I do realize that the Georgetown coach has gotten his due on occasion, but I’m not sure it’s quite enough.
The antithesis of his firebrand father, JT3 is creating the same results in Washington, D.C.: consistent success. I’ve known Thompson for years, dating back to his assistant days on the Princeton bench. He’s a great mind, basketball or otherwise, who can be a tough nut to crack in an interview but who also is as dialed in to his team and the game as anyone.
Georgetown has come from nowhere this season, taking what was supposed to be a do-over season and turning it into yet another very good one.
The Hoyas’ tough loss at Syracuse on Wednesday night turned a lot of heads to just how good Georgetown is.
The same is true for the coach.
Interesting
Duke and UNC only 1 McD each.
NC State with 3.
That being said Tyler Lewis making it over D’Vauntes Smith Rivera is a joke. A Joke. Tyler is a better PG, but in terms of players DSR is better.
Isn't DSR leading Oak Hill in scoring?
Isn’t that supposed to warrant an automatic invite to the McDAA game?
What are these assertions!?
Only 1 committed to a future BE school (Providence)
Little suprised with Dunn over Ledo. Ty Lewis is the only guy who will pass on either team, and he may be the best passer outside Rubio. I think you had to pick him for the entertainment value.
Really really want pollard. Noel also got hosed out of both Mickey D and Jordan games.
Dunn is ranked higher than Ledo on Rivals and probably most places.
and is the much better player.
Noel switched classes too late to make the games. Should’ve done this a while ago because he was always going to be 2012.

Wasn't Hollis a probable selection for one of these games as well
Before deciding he’d rather be a Hoya?
And i should count memphis
If i am going to ignore coleman.
Also congrats to big Roy- all star

An acting debut worthy of an All-Star nod, if not an Emmy.
For those who want it in writing…a link from elsewhere in SBNation.
Sorry, Bunk...
Didn’t see you’d already posted the awesomeness

fine with this
Really good but not yet great, a chip on the shoulder and a sense of humility – the formula for success with this generation of hoyas.
Hammer of the Cuse
Tyler Lewis
Can anyone comment on how they think he will translate to the college level. Honestly I’ve watched a couple of Oak Hill games on TV and it looks like he is going to get absolutely owned by any guard with size. Kid is 5’10" 170 at best without elusiveness and range on his shot. Just seems like hes overhyped to me. But again what do I know
Im with you
Lots of doubts because of his size. Kid can pass and is really fun watch becuase he is able to overcome the first impression that somebody let their 13 year old nephew wander on to the court. I think at college level he is ok, but i dont see first round nba talent, which is really what mickeyd aa should translate to.

Based on recent experience.............
…………….I’ll take this year’s Freshman class over any McDAA. We certainly did not realize first round NBA talent out of Freeman and Wright.
With paranoia,
