Things that make me happy?

Syracuse’s passing IQ. That Fab Melo really knows how to use his head:

Don't forget

What doesn't make me happy...

That our rivalry only happens once this year. WVU generally has all the intelligence of a bag of fertilizer, but they are onto something when they talk about how piss poor the league is managed. The ACC would never forget and schedule Duke UNC only once a year.

The only school who I really care about playing, regardless of details is Gtown. Between the trash talk with my friends and the bets between you guys and HoyaSuxa, this is one of my favorite sporting events of the year. I just hope both sides keep in going in the future.

Here’s to hate week.

by CapitalOrange on Feb 6, 2012 12:10 AM EST reply actions

Agreed

It does seem silly. Not sure that the rivalry will survive you guys leaving the conference, but that’s a worry for another time. For now, cheers to hate week.

Big East scheduling committee definitely dropped the ball this year

It should be noted, though, that this is far from the first year in recent memory that G’town-Cuse have only one regular season game against each other. It is inexcusable that they haven’t been given an automatic home-and-home at this point, but I think everyone is just more sensitive to it this year because of all the realignment nonsense.

I'll let you...

Figure out why the answer to your post is clearly “no”. I’m sure you can do it—I believe in you!

by TBird41 on Feb 6, 2012 12:05 PM EST up reply actions

And I'll wait for you to figure out why your answer is wrong.

Hint: Look at the box score. Then look at large man in Orange who can’t shoot free throws.

by DukePettyjohn on Feb 6, 2012 12:44 PM EST up reply actions

The first picture

Is definitely the one I linked to. There’s a shot of that moment from a different angle in the pics (7th pic).

I’ll be the first to admit I can’t tell which the second pic is. Might be the one you mention given the orange in the background and the fact that play-by-play has Wes Johnson blocking Austin Freeman.

Yep, I have this much of a life EXACTLY.

Why so Syracuse?

by HoyaJoker07 on Feb 6, 2012 1:37 PM EST up reply actions

Still hasn't figured out

Why his first suggestion is wrong. One hint—the Georgetown players are wearing gray in the video, not blue.

by TBird41 on Feb 6, 2012 1:45 PM EST up reply actions

It was a facetious reply

Clearly the game I posted happened a couple years before the ones in the pictures.

I thought your post was meant to be facetious as well, seeing as Onuaku clearly isn’t in the box score of the link you posted. It turns out you were just plain wrong.

Man, you couldn't at least censor Devo's face?

So much hideousness and white-trashiness. Also, the basketball cross tattoo: stupidest tattoo ever or stupidest tattoo ever?

To be fair

CW was probably crying from the mental image that resulted from Devo telling him he had sex with this:

Come on, you can do better than that!

On second thought, you ARE a Georgetown fan, so probably not.

"Come on, you can do better than that!"

sound advice that should have been used on syracuse players before sleeping with her.

by thejerseytornado on Feb 6, 2012 6:09 PM EST up reply actions

I don't know

Any better and you guys might get REALLY upset.

by WarmupEwing on Feb 6, 2012 7:39 PM EST up reply actions

I won't be upset.

unless it just isn’t funny.

I tried to be funny. Alleged child molestation isn’t really funny. I’d rather make fun of you for being well to do, or, as above, Austin Freeman being a girl. But hey, if you make light of potential victims that is your thing!

Stinky ass Hoyas!

Oops happy trigger finger...

First, using child molestation as comedic fodder is never appropriate. Hard to justify in light of the supposed Jesuit principles this site expects of its posters.

Second….given the ginormous Jesuit priest sex scandal, even if it was appropriate….the irony is, your skating on pretty thin ice.

It's hard for me to take you seriously on your high horse

When you support the institution that allowed child molestation to happen, and the team whose coach then defended the perpetrator. I won’t hold my breath while you try to rationalize that, and in the meantime I definitely won’t feel bad for pointing my finger at that and saying “I’m glad that doesn’t happen at the school I support.”

Also, while I agree that it should not be comedic fodder, I’m not seeing what you are replying to, since the original post was about the lovely Mrs. Fine…she of the smoldering bedroom eyes, who only slept with consenting adults, as far as I know.

Nothing's funnier

Than saying someone’s a girl.

How noble

However, I’m trying to find the part where we started making light of victims of child molestation. Last time I checked, the allegations that were being turned into jokes over here were that Laurie Fine was sleeping with members of the Syracuse basketball team, most of whom I can only assume were at or over the age of 18. Maybe you consider these guys “vulnerable adults”?

I recognize that there are other allegations associated with your program right now, but they haven’t been the subject of any humor around here.
