What some Hoyas are thinkin' about the Hoyas.

I guess this speaks for itself. Merry Christmas Dave Gavitt, wherever you are.

Well guys, I made it through fall semester without any Casual Mental Breakdowns, so I guess it'd be good to celebrate that smashing success by kicking back and watching the Hoyas thwomp another DC area opponent on Saturday evening. Wait, the game starts at noon? Oh, I guess that's not so bad. Wait wait, I'm in the Central time zone now. THE GAME STARTS AT ELEVEN?! Screw that, I might catch the second half if I'm not so hungover from "End of the World" partying that I sleep til about 5 tomorrow. This crap with the early weekend games has to stop. GET IT TOGETHER. Anyway, we played American last year and, as I remember, we beat the absolute crap out of them after Howard gave us a nice scare the week before. These guys are still pretty bad. I mean they lost by double digits to Ivy League Columbia for crying out loud. Normally, I would use Columbia's victory over POWERHOUSE Villanova as an indicator that they are not such a bad team but, well, it's Villanova.

I'm really happy about all the Hoya basketball I'm going to get to watch while I'm home too, despite the fact that I will be missing like the first 3 games of Big East play. Let's see, when is our first Big East game. Marquette, awesome, and it is on...JANUARY 5?! WHAT THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO DO FOR 2 WHOLE DAMN WEEKS?! Alright, this is crap. I guess this will give you guys time to finish your Christmas shopping since you won't be distracted by your Hoya-induced heart attacks. Since I won't have basketball to entertain me and I don't swing for Jesus, I'll be enjoying Chinese food and Lincoln on Tuesday with the rest of the Chosen People. To the rest of you, Merry Christmas. Come early, be loud, wear gray. Hoya Saxa!

View from the Cheap Seats - A Nervous Perspective from JahidiLikesPie:

I am not really nervous about AU. I know nothing about them. I do hope that there is offensive cohesion and a liberal distribution of minutes. I will not be able to watch the game here in NY. However, I will have the opportunity to watch the REPLAY of the UCON/Fordham contest.

I really can't think of anything else to write. The holiday whirlwind has overtaken me. I am defeated. At least I don't have to write this stupid thing for 2 weeks.

Nervousness Level: REAL LOW

The Line: OFF.

No line! NO MOTHERFUCKING LINE? How am I supposed to afford my post-Hanukkah pre-Christmas shopping? How am I supposed to break it to poor Teddy that he won't be getting his organic chicken jerky treats from farm-raised chickens in Oregon and instead he will have to continue to gnaw on sticks made from bull's penises in China?

Teddy was looking forward to his new chicken jerky strips treats with the winnings.
Bah humbug.

The pick is THIS IS BULLSHIT.

Casual Hoya is 6-2 ATS this season.
Overall 62-36-1.
