The Evolution of the Benimonster

Does anyone have an explanation for how a player who averaged about 1.5 points and 2 rebounds per game in his 10 - 12 minutes per game at Georgetown is suddenly averaging 17.1 points and 11.3 rebounds per game. OK. Competition is weaker. But against Vermont the Benimonster put up 29 and 10, against the Hoyas he put up 11 and 17, and against Temple recently, the Benimonster exploded for 30 and 18. I am happy for the guy as he would have gotten even less playing time had he stayed with the Hoyas. Instead, he is a force.....even against decent teams. But why? How? This guy never demonstrated this kind of trajectory. Any answers out there?????
