based on other tweets that line up is incorrect

Hollis scored the first points, nate the second. So it was actually the line up we all expected:
markel, jason, hollis, nate, henry.

Recap?

Any hope for some casual awards, even if they’re based entirely on guessing what happened? (so desperate for the season to start)

Recap? I want a replay!

I spend all this money on cable to watch every college game from my basement lair and I can’t even get this broadcast? Important enough to have VP Biden show up, but not enough for MASN to cut into their normal programming explaining how the orioles lost last night for a full hour.

For the record

Technically it’s my mom’s basement and she pays for cable

Random analysis based only on a box score:

We out rebounded them 53-44 and 18-12 on the offensive glass

We had 36% offensive rebounding % last year we grabbed 33.4%
We had 74% defensive rebounding % last year we grabbed 67.7%

We had 20 turnovers but only 1 of those was a steal which means a lot were probably just miss timed back door passes.

We forced 22 turnovers 13 of which on steals.

We shot a fairly good 36.8% from 3.
We held them to 28.6% from 3.

Played a 10 man rotation and scored close to 100 points.

Henry, Jabril, and Markel need to watch the fouls.

Our big men: Henry, Nate, Mikael led team in assists.

Not to take away from the win

But my very own casual investigation reveals that we played a somewhat depleted Shangxi Brave Dragons team. While some of their heavy minute guys did play – their two best players did not play.

I'm not sure that's true

I’m pretty sure Xuewen ZHANG is their best player or at least one of their best two players he was an all star in the Chinese Basketball association last year and is on the Chinese national team.

It’s also hard to tell because I don’t think anyone has the teams roster for the upcomint season and i’m sure there was turnover from the old rosters.

But this was not a great team we played. They were 15-17 last year.

The next game tomorrow against Bayi should tell us more as they were at least over .500 last year, but we’re not going to be playing the best chinese teams. Still they’re the equivalent of decent NCAA teams.
