Sunday in April. The weather is beautiful, the birds are chirping, and everybody is glued to the television for one of the biggest sports events on the calendar. The Masters, you say? Hell no! Pistons vs. Bobcats at Time Warner Cable Arena of course! After enjoying a few casual Coronas on the outside patio watching the people's champion, Charl Schwartzel, tame Augusta, I caught the second half of the Greg Monroe show in person. Enjoy these low quality pics from the old iPhone, which are about as fuzzy as my actual sight was at that point. I need to stop drinking on Sundays.
Greg had 10 and 9 i think with 4 or 5 assists. He didn't play in the fourth quarter as the game was out of reach. As was the case with Roy Hibbert a few weeks back, I don't remember Greg getting the ball in their offensive set away from 2-3 times. The Pistons, or the Detroit UConnvicts as we'll call them (Villanueva, Gordon, Hamilton all on the team) are literally a bunch of chuckers and that worked out last night as I think they made about 47 3 pointers. The game kind of sucked, the crowd was surprisingly good, and the best part of the night was yelling "Hoya Saxa Greg Monroe!" as he walked off of the court, and have him look at me and saying "Hoya Saxa" back to me. Good times. And Dajuan Summers was nowhere to be seen, for what that's worth.
Stay Casual, my friends.
