Announcing the Second Annual Casual Extravaganza!!!
After months of forcing you to drink at every Georgetown Basketball event, you didn't really think we'd take a day off for Armageddon at Verizon? This year's extravaganza will be BIGGER and BOLDER than any blog event in the history of the world. And, there is even more swag to give away!!!

(Details after the Jump)
The casual post-game will be downstairs at Iron Horse Tap Room (507 7th St. NW - 7th between E and F). The first 250 casualties to arrive will received a LIMITED EDITION Casual Hoya / Iron Horse pint glass. With this SUPER BADASS glass you will get $2 Bud Lights for the REST OF THE DAY. That's right. TWO DOLLAR BUDS from the end of the game until close at 2AM.
Glasses will be handed out at the downstairs bars - ask for the casual special - or find me (I'll be the dude wearing the gray Georgetown shirt).
As an added bonus, our good friends from Eat Wonky will be stationed outside the bar, serving folks their delicious Wonky Dogs & Fries.
Rivarly. Emotion. Cheap Beer. Poutine and All Beef Franks on Warm Toasted Rolls.
WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG?!?!?
For the pre-game, there are plenty of options including the Alumni Association Kegs n' Eggs (entrance fee and registration required) at Gordon Biersch and meeting other casualties at Fado around 10am, BUT MAKE SURE TO GET TO THE ARENA EARLY FOR SENIOR DAY; THE CEREMONY BEGINS AT 11:45 SO BE IN YOUR SEATS BY 11:30. These seniors deserve a full and loud crowd.

WHAT?!
Huge monkey wrench in my plans to show up, cheer the Hoyas, then disappear to my actuarial studying cave.
WHY DON’T ANY OF YOU WANT ME TO BE AN ACTUARY?
Why so Syracuse?
We're not meeting up with Suxa at Sign of the Whale?
So confused.
What are these assertions!?

Who is coming to the Extravaganza?
I want to know who I am punching in the face while drinking, smoking, and listening to that awesome t-pain and pitbull song.
Casually.

Will be there
Iron Horse fights last two punches, though, and I intend to throw both of them

sleepyhoya will be there
meeting with the other dwarves tonight to see if they’ll let out bashful. Doc can be a real dick.
bashful will need a disguise if anyone has anything lying around.
will be there with bells on
or a hoya sweatshirt at least. Would assume I will be with two Cuse fans that we can heckle for hours. You guys doing a pre-game as well? I am going to put on a performance for the ages tomorrow.

meh
might be bothered to show up, if Hire can make a compelling case for it during the game.
Meh. Maybe.
(ok, who am I kidding…)

I fully contend
that all of Wednesday’s disasters began with the extremely bad omen at the diagonal crosswalk.

nah
it was the national anthem—even carl lewis’ version was better (youtube it)
i mean
didn’t he also sing before the marquette game?
Pass the champagne.

he was clearly driving on the wrong side of the road
No worries gang, MyFairHoya will be navigating tomorrow’s travels, nothing can go wrong. I will also not have to use that particular and demonic diagonal crossing – will get from Fado to Phone Booth via a casual Barnes Dance at H, and then the police seal off F St post game – THEN I’M SAFE IN THE HORSE until, um, leaving.

I'll be there
My handle used to be Jeff Green's Dad, but it was confusing and creepy, namely because I am not his dad. My new handle is JGD. I am trim and in charge.
Over under on how long until you're banned?
Also, does the RRI ban carry over to the new and improved Channel?

I'll be there

when i thought law school could not feasibly get any worse
journal competition this weekend. i actually factually want to cut someone.
wtf
is a journal competition?
If it is meeting-based – well, never has there been a better time to pull a sickie (with the side benefit that after a proper Saturday, you will likely still appear to be “under the weather” by Monday).
If you just need to write something – well, that’s surely what they invented this Friday night and Sunday for. Or, bring your topic along to the Extravaganza, and 250+ of your closest casual friends can groupwrite it for you. It would be epic. And informed – many lawyers infest these threads, and more than a few will be at the Horse.
Be there, ETB09. Be there.

It's a citation contest
To see who reports directly to the biggest douche (editor) of the law review next year.

To see who can rack up the greatest number of citations in one weekend?
Because between tomorrow’s game and the (surely out-of-control) post-event festivities, I’m sure MPD will be doing their best to hand out plenty of those…
Competition very important
Poor performance could lead to placement on SECONDARY JOURNAL—very not casual.
