Long awaited news on the Big East conference future has finally reemerged. It appears that the Big East, like other conferences, will finally stretch beyond their regional borders to grasp and maintain a foothold in other major media markets. It also appears that as we take a step back as a basketball powerhouse conference, we take several steps forward in Big East football. My question to all of this is, how long will it take before this conference reigns as the conference to beat as it did during the 2010-11 season with 11 entries into the NCAA tournament?
