Is ESPN trying to kill the Big East??????

It's Sunday morning here in the Hoya faithful household and I've been dreaming about how we're going to kick that Memphis Tiger ass come Thursday night. Well I woke up and turned on the T.V. to that evil sports empire "ESPN", and took a gander at a program called 30 for 30. Well this mornings topic was about SMU football and the "Death Penalty". For you youngsters this was about paying athletes to play college football back in the late 80's. Granted ESPN originally aired this program back in December of 2010, but it seemed pretty ironic that this program has resurfaced again in the mist of the Big East fight for survival. Well I'm not going to go into detail about the programming but I thought to myself, "just who is really trying to kill the Big East"!! Big East commissioner is reaching out to these major media markets and ESPN is airing the tainted past of one of our newest members. Is ESPN playing God on the collegiate landscape and why?
