Hoya Prospectus: Recap: Georgetown 83, Savannah State 54
Henry Sims is part man, part ravenous beast, albeit also part goofy.  Creating 1.7 points per possession used, while using more than 1/3 of the team's possessions while on the floor is also kinda goofy, but in a positive way.  Good omen?

"I prepared a lot in the offseason. I worked hard in practice every day and that’s what happens when you work hard," Sims said. "The plays came off of effort and when you play hard everything will take care of itself."

Henry Sims could be go-to-guy for Hoyas - CBSSports.com
If the Hoyas are going to make a run towards the NCAA tournament, Sims will need to be a go-to-guy down low. Today can't be the highlight of his season.

Sims' 19 points ended up leading the way for the Hoyas, who won with a balanced effort. The Hoyas ended up shooting 67 percent from the field for the game, That's the best mark they've posted since shooting 64.2 percent in a game against Loyola last year.

Post-Game Quotes: Georgetown vs. Savannah State - GUHoyas.com
On Georgetown's freshmen performance... "I thought they played well. They played very, very well. They all do things. They all can defend, they all can make shots. They give you different things - it's not about just putting the ball in the basket. Otto (Porter) and Greg (Whittington) were very good today they both ended up with a full stat line, included a couple blocks."

Word on the Street: Hoyas hustling win
A few of us on press row noted Hollis Thompson (3 points) looks bigger this year, especially his arms. Perhaps his workouts with NBA folk gave him insight on what he needs to do if he wants to reach that level,

GLIDEHOYAS: Team Hoyas "team up" to tame the Tigers 83-54
I was in top form cheering my Hoyas on to victory. Definitely a pleasure to see the Hoyas back in action.  The sense of urgency, determination, team bond and chemistry were there.

That's relatively good news about Adams

Hopefully he can get in the mix soon.

Tyler Adams to return soon

He could have played yesterday if needed. He’ll be back soon but it will be interesting to see how much he will be used. Still developing…

agree completely

kansas will be a great test to see where we are right now and how much better we’re gonna need to get….or it could tell us we’re already really good right now (which I hope)

The Hoyas length will definitely help this team in the long run

should the fans be surprised if the pull the upset when they play Kansas, the reply would be in the affirmative.
