Fifth Freshman in Georgetown's Class of 2010 Revealed...
Last night was the Freshman NSO pep rally in McDonough Arena. For those who don't know, this is an annual tradition to pump up the freshman about the Fall sports. The basketball team made an appearance to lead the crowd in a "We Are Georgetown" cheer and to introduce the new freshman.
Captain Chris Wright introduced:
- Nate Lubick
- Aaron Bowen
- Moses Abraham
- Markel Starks
- John Caprio
Anyone know anything more on this mystery fifth freshman. Presumably he's a walk on, but anyone know if he's any good?

I was all excited to see him on that video
And then was sad once he was introduced to see that he’s not the 6’11" German kid that is rumored to be walking around campus but rather looks more like Vinny from Jersey Shore
Casually.
thoughts on video
lubick has an awkward wave
looks like chris wright had to ask for the “walk-on’s” name before announcing it
why are some NSO t-shirts orange?
Good talk.

Didn’t watch the video, but probably the different colored shirts are for people who have different jobs. One color for advisors, one for coordinators (run the show), one for captains (middle men), one for RAs, etc.
And I wasn’t the king, but JGD still served (serves) me.

Rated the 46th best player in the state of New jersey by NorhtStar blog:
46. John Caprio, SF, 6’6, Seton Hall Prep, uncommitted- a combo forward who does a little bit of everything, he can put the ball in the hoop and also rebounds well
PLAYER TO WATCH
John Caprio of Seton Hall Prep has transformed himself in one season from someone with moderate offensive punch to one of the county’s more dangerous players with the ball in his hands.
And without it, the 6-5 senior can be absolutely deadly.
Caprio showed that twice in the second quarter and in the opening minutes of the third when he sneaked behind coverage and caught passes for easy backdoor layups for six of his 20 points Saturday in the Prep’s 69-57 victory over Shabazz in the Essex County Tournament semifinals. He’s averaged 17.7 points per game in three ECT games this month and is at 18.1 for the season. Caprio hit double figures just twice last season, but it was in the final two games. He used his head Saturday for open looks, but also his strong body and tight dribble to carve paths to the rim. -NJ.com

MONSTER
The 6-5 Caprio took advantage of those chances yesterday by scoring 23 points and recording career highs for rebounds (17), assists (nine), steals (five) and blocks (four) to lead Seton Hall, No. 9 in The Star-Ledger Top 20, to a 73-56 victory over scrappy High Tech of North Bergen in the New Year’s Jump Off at Teaneck.

Seriously
When can we expect an auto-tuned song of Chris explaining how to do the chant? If Bed Intruder gets a song, I want the “Boom, boom” song.
