Around SBN: Raiders' GM Begins The Purge

Georgetown vs. Missouri

While we wallow in recruiting despair for 2011, it is important to focus on this season... not just the opportunity to dress up like Moses at a game (Beard, Staff and All), but the schedule.  For those of us who try to find out what each and every game will be before the Georgetown Athletic Department releases the schedule, there is a rumor that we will play Missouri on the 30th of November in Kansas City:

Yeah,

and had a decent team last year, too. Beat a few good teams, but ended up losing to West Virginia in the second round. Top 3 scorers from last year were all sophomores, too.

Tough schedule

some of those remaining three have to be sweet cupcakes

Away/neutral OofC schedule of ODU, Memphis Temple, MU, and potentially NC State. Tulane the only traditional cupcake. Any GU alum we need play against?

by bunk moreland on Aug 10, 2010 2:46 PM EDT up reply actions

there’s actually room for 5 more OOC games the tournament only counts as 1 game.

by hoyasincebirth on Aug 10, 2010 11:38 AM EDT reply actions

so hopefully 1 can be a good game with the rest being filler.

And preferably at home

so that the students can actually have something to cheer for before January.

Open spots on VZ's schedule

From HoyaSaxa:

A date in gray is booked by the Washington Capitals or Wizards. A date in green is a Saturday date booked in the evening, meaning a 12:00 noon game is possible. A date in blue is a previously scheduled Verizon Center event, such as the one day BB&T Classic on Dec. 5 or a concert on Feb. 24.

My point exactly

Last time we played Syracuse you are crowing that, on a weekend, getting more than half of the home crowd to wear the home colors is some kind of achievement. If Gameday ever comes to Georgetown everyone at ESPN should be fired.

by lordnick on Aug 11, 2010 9:54 AM EDT up reply actions

if ESPN comes

gtown will do a gray out again and we can get 90%+ like against duke.

the ticket policy and promotions for duke worked, why wouldnt it for a cuse gameday game?

Good talk.
