Georgetown to Play Appalachian State on Dec. 12 at Verizon
The WATAUGA DEMOCRAT is reporting that the vaunted Appalachian State Mountaineers will stop by the Verizon Center for a Sunday soiree on December 12th.
For those that don't remember, Appalachian State is famous for beating the Michigan Wolverines football team on a blocked field goal in 2007. The Mountaineers are coached by 30 year old Jason Capel, a former North Carolina forward and brother of Jeff Capel, a former Dukie who is now coach of Oklahoma.
Other than those tidbits, I got nothing for you. Just wait for Sleeping with the Enemy.
This is better than playing Mount St. Mary's, right? I think? Is this thing on?

Are we playing WV at home this year? And are App State likely to invade in similar numbers/levels of annoyingness?

this season is over before it has started
thankfully we have all these recruits coming in in 2011
WE’LL BE UNSTOPPABLE
Casually.
This is actually a very good OOC pick up for the schedule.
App st. won 24 games last year and finished 92nd in the RPI. They return their star player and 2 other starters. If they can keep that RPI above 100 it will count as a solid victory come tourney time. I also have a friend who went there so it’s always nice to be able to rub a win in a friend’s face.
How will a loss to them at home be a victory come tourney time?
Oh right. It will help our NIT seeding.
