Favorite Georgetown Basketball Picture

After seeing the picture from the 1996 team, and stumbling across this picture, I just wanted to ask, what is your favorite georgetown basketball picture of recent memory? I feel as if there are some pretty cool ones from when roy hibbert and jeff green beat duke, or when roy hibbert unleashed this magic upon us. I like the one of jason clark 1) because it was one of his many sick dunks 2) it was against duke 3) ryan kelly looks like the doof he really is.

where do you think it ranks in accordance to best wins in the program's history?

Why have Villanofun when you can have Georgetown?

JGD wrote about best wins in JT3’s time at Georgetown last year, largely agree with that list.

- best win would be vs. houston in 1984, gotta be since only time we won the championship
- beating cuse at manley in 1980 defined the big east in its inaugural season.
- Sweater game in 1985 was incredible, from what i hear, #2 gtown destroying #1 st johns by 17 in the garden
- duke win in ’06 is in there just because duke was 17-0 going for program record 18-0 and gtown was unranked. program was propelled forward from that point.
- the dominant performance vs kentucky in 1984 was probably best defensive performance. kentucky scored 13 points in the second half, going something like 3 for 30 from the field.

i say UNC is top 3, just because of who it was against, and how we won it. thoughts?

i agree with unc in the top three

mainly because of where it put us— not only the final four, but also got the nation’s attention. people started paying more attention to the program, more recruits looked at us, and people started to recognize georgetown as a national powerhouse again, like being on the cover of si in two different years
