Changes at Verizon Center

Leonsis was on the radio the other day discussing changes he wants to implement at Verizon. I only read some recaps here and there but the thing that caught my attention the most was that he wants to change the lighting at Verizon to be more like MSG.

Did anyone catch the full thing and does anyone know whether these changes would also be implemented at Georgetown games

We may not agree with anything you say, but we will fight to the death for your right to say it.

I'm open to the idea

But I think it works better at NBA games than college games.

At a college and specifically a Georgetown game, it’s nice to be able to clearly see the student sections in gray and the entire arena in gray for the gray out game.

But I’ll reserve judgment until I actually see it in action for one of our games/experience it in person.

Then light the student sections

but keep the rest of the arena dark so I don’t have to see jahidilikespie weeping into his seventh miller lite while we get blown out by depaul

I like the optimism

But kidding aside, this idea does have the potential to look and feel really, really cool for G’town games.

it's one of the greatest things that msg does

focuses the attention to the action on the court and makes the court seem more of a stage

Casually.
