Georgetown Recruiting Tony Parker. Yes, that Tony Parker.
No, not that Tony Parker.
According to college hoops guru Adam Zagoria, Georgetown is going after the 6-foot-9, 265-pound rising junior center from Lithonia (Ga.) Miller Grove who is ranked among the top 10 centers in his class of 2012.

Parker is bigger than this thumbnail picture would indicate.via media.scout.com
"I got looks from Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Florida, Miami, Georgetown and West Virginia," Parker said last week at the Peach Jam. "I’m pretty much open right now."
More on Tony Parker after The Jump:
Parker would add some much needed bulk to the Hoyas frontcourt in 2012, which for now is devoid of a physical presence down low. If the Hoyas can add Parker to a landscape that hopefully will include Johnny O'Bryant and Rakeem Christmas, Georgetown may be more imposing than the SHARKTOPUS.

"Because of his size and he can play in the paint, he can always get his shot up because he can get separation," Norm said. "His upside is unbelievable."

Why have Villanofun when you can have Georgetown?

Jesus
Here I thought that Lorenzo Lamas and Debbie Gibson were such talented performers.
I’m not surprised that a movie about a shark AND an octopus would be terrible – the key is the hybrid, SHARKOTPUS.

deepwater horizon
mystery solved – clearly documented in this footage.
Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus vs Sharktopus? No contest, the hybrid wins. And, as a Navy project, huge upside from him not eating USN ships.

It was said here first
If Tony Parker signs, his nickname will be SHARKTOPUS.
Tremendous upside

sheesh at least spell my name right.
III’s working on it. Our M.O. has been to sign players after midnight madness. 2011 players can’t take official visits till this fall and we always try and have people come during midnight madness for their official visits. If we haven’t had a 2011 verbal by October 23rd then it’s time to start yelling sign a damn recruit already. More and more recruits are waiting till the spring signing period. Only 18 of scout’s top 50 players have signed with a school at this point, or 41 of the top 100. There are plenty of great-good players available. 18 of the top 50 on scout have also signed only 37 of their top 100.
and it’s not like we’ve been missing left and right of the ~40 top 100 recruits that have committed, we’ve only recruited 4 of them and only officially offered 1 of those according to a consensus of rivals and scout.
patience is a virtue.

think of it this way.
0% of recruits have signed.
top 10 recruit deandre daniels is apparently about to decommit from texas. Verbals mean jack shit in this day and age.
also 40% assumes only top 100 recruits are worth having. Also considering that out of all the recruits out there we’ve only been linked to about 30 of them. And at this point only 4 of them are off the table. so only 13% of our recruits are off the table.

there goes cook
“Duke hasn’t offered yet, but they are on me pretty hard,” said Cook, who will attend Mouth of Wilson (Va.) Oak Hill Academy this year. "Coach K has called me a couple times recently, and Coach (Nate) James has been to all my games and even came to Germany to watch me. They are supposed to be at all my games in Las Vegas, too.
did we really have a shot at him after cox left?
Good talk.
Casual Hoya
I never really saw cook ending up here even before cox got here, but not that concerned about it.
His game is much more suited for the ACC and Pac-10 and I think that’s where he ends up. But it won’t be because dook picks him up. Frankly I think Duke has too much talent in the back court and I don’t think they’re ever going to offer Cook. Perhaps if they don’t land Rivers, but assuming they land him no way cook gets an offer.
