MonroeWatch 2K10: Monroe to work out for the Sacramento Kings

According to the Sacramento Bee, Greg Monroe will work out for the Sacramento Kings this weekend.  Monroe will be the first player of the offseason to work out individually for the Kings and could be selected with their first-round pick, fifth overall.:

Georgetown center Greg Monroe will work out for the Kings on Sunday.

Monroe's stock appears to be rising and he's a real possibility for the Kings at No. 5, despite them already having Spencer Hawes and Jason Thompson. They'll also see Baylor's Ekpe Udoh, Kentucky forward Patrick Patterson, Kansas' Cole Aldrich, Kentucky's Daniel Orton and Marshall's Hassan Whiteside - all expected to be first-round picks.

The consensus of the on the Kings message boards seems to be that Greg monroe is soft a terrible defender and rebounder and they want nothing to do with him. shrugs their loss.

So scanning the nba message boards.

Kings, Jazz fans hate greg.
One Jazz fan is stupid enough to think that the jazz shouldn’t draft greg because he’s an average passer. It’s very confusing that the teams that greg would supposedly be the best fit for are the teams who’s fans don’t want him. Seems like the fans hate their teams’ style of play and don’t want greg or a player like greg.

Fan’s of the Pistons, Clippers, indiana, Warriors like Greg

Hornets fans seemed fairly mixed but forced to pick i’d put them in the like category
Nets fans are mixed as well but i’d put them in the negative category with a few strong greg fans, but the majority would be a pass.

Minnesota literally mentioned greg twice one person said they should take him and another person said the fact that he showed up out of shape after the offseason worries him. When did that happen?

Yes but some on their boards say they saw him play in high school and that he’s soft and weak.
