In what has become an alarming trend, lefty white shooters are leaving Big East schools at horrifying rates. Everyone remembers the incomparable Nikita Mescheriakov - someone with absolutely no basketball ability who was forced to transfer to Wake Forest.

Now comes news that Taylor King is leaving Villanova. This was a McDonald's All-American who committed to UCLA and played a year at Duke before heading to the Mainline. WHAT COULD HAVE GONE SO TRAGICALLY WRONG TO FORCE THIS YOUNG MAN OUT?

Before passing judgment, let's take a look at the tape - is there any precedent for someone with King's skill-set failing at at this level?

He looked terrible in high school
