but isn't St. John's going to have a huge home court advantage?
St. John’s fans travel so well…..
in retrospect, I guess I shouldn't question St. John's fans...
considering our SUx debacle at Verizon this year
or our performance against them last year
Oh, excuse me.
Performances
I can have oodles of charm when I want to.
how is he still employed?
his argument is ridiculous. last year ACC and BE has 7 tourney teams.
2 ACC teams made it to Sweet 16, 2 to Elite 8, 1 to Final Four
5 BE teams made it to Sweet 16, 4 to Elite 8, 2 to Final Four
Good talk.

middle ACC teams are better than middle BE teams (tourney teams)
will take Nova and Marquette over Virginia Tech and Wake anyday…

Jay Williams is a tool as well...
not sure why ESPN hires these clowns…
heard rumors to that effect...
but there have been denials coming from Calhoun’s son… assuming he does retire, has the roscoe smith ship sailed??
all the recruits we lose to calhoun care
coaches that dont cheat care.

just curious...
who would replace Calhoun?
I seriously doubt they would hire George Blaney……. I don’t think Calhoun’s coaching tree is that stellar?
doubt it
people in CT love Geno right where he is. and expectations would be ridiculously high.
get pat summit instead muahaha
I can have oodles of charm when I want to.
similar to UNC after Dean Smith left
Blaney could pull a Bill Guthridge and coach for a couple years after Calhoun.
Good talk.

Roscoe
Probably. We are going to sign the SF that visited this weekend – Aaron Bowen, who is a less heralded version of Roscoe.
Only one more scholarship spot after that – hoping it goes to Moses

Without fact-checking
Didn’t St. John’s win the regular season game (might be thinking of Louisville)? Could totally see them getting away with a first round win against a deflated team that tragically dashed its own hope late in the season…
/sigh
They annihilated Louisville
Lost $100 on it

huskies
UConn should really be much better than they are. With Robinson, Walker and Dyson that’s a damn good nucleus. I wonder if they have chemistry/alpha-male issues similar to what Hoyas had last year.
Casually.
Luke Russert
Jeremiah Rivers is one of my favorite college players. How did Gtown let him transfer? All he does is play defense and get assists.

Can't argue with that.
Assists are more important than points in college basketball. That’s why Indiana just wrapped up a nice 10-20 season
per team tweets...
the hoyas are done practicing for the day, so my guess is they practiced without scheming for a specific opponent.
unless they assumed USF like everyone else.
Casually.
Anyone actually watching the game?

Frightening Place
BUT AWESOME PL:ACE
Deno’s International Party House
Favorite Yelp! review:
If someone told me that the bartenders here were victims of a human trafficking ring, I would not think to disagree.
Shoddy and disgusting inside, Deno’s is doing it’s part to bring businessmen, frat boys, and nostalgic metal and glam rock fans together under one roof. A crazy long-haired guy in a black tank-top and jeans is wandering the room ogling the girls, clapping his hands, and you know that he is dying to find out when “Poison” is going back out on tour.
Glancing around at the general hygiene of Deno’s, I decide that purchasing a beer from the bottle is probably in my best interest.
The bathroom is great for those that miss summer festivals in Wisconsin where the outhouses stink and flies are buzzing around.
Blip
Sounds like Good Guys
But bigger and with more glam rock

EPIC FAIL
Some goober on SJU decided to take it to the hole himself on 4 on 1 break and missed the dunk.
Unclear if he is related to Chris Wright.
Casually.
"Justin Brownlee missed Two Point Dunk Shot."
Your shame has been noted in the records.
Why so Syracuse?
Am I reading this right?
They’ve missed two?! Or is it that one wasn’t easily categorized as something else.
Why so Syracuse?
Can I get a ruling?
I can’t decide if Gavin Edwards sucks or not.
Sometimes I watch him and he’s the only patient, foot-work-intensive player on their team. Other times, he seems like he can’t stop fouling.
Thoughts?
Why so Syracuse?
I prefer to (ir)rationally hate Robinson.
I feel like he needed a little more time in the scrapyard. On defense, he leaks more than the Bartlet White House.
Yep, that nerdy.
Why so Syracuse?
If a hole at midcourt opened up and sucked in one player from each Big East team...
who would you want it be? I’ll start in the dirty south:

Interesting...
Syracuse: Wesley Johnson…Rautins is close, but as some of my fellow posters know, I find Johnson’s mugging infuriating
Notre Dame: Can I still pick McAlarney? Alright, Hansbrough (Not before two Saturdays ago…stupid kid)
Villanova: Scottie Reynolds…he’d probably speed up the process by jumping INTO the hole to try and draw a foul.
Cincinnati: Lance Stephenson (Ready for THAT, JACKASS?!)
South Florida: Dominique Jones
Pittsburgh: Ashton Gibbs (to lock up Most Improved for AFree)
Rutgers: Hamady Ndiaye (“Piss on ME?”)
Providence: Sharaud Curry (as proxy)
West Virginia: Can I pick the fans?
Louisville: Samardo Samuels (for thinking for a SECOND that he’d take Greg)
Depaul: Their coach…oh…oh wait…
St. Johns: No idea…haven’t paid enough attention…much like UConn
Cincinnati: The players that airballed the layups…still can’t comprehend that.
UConn: Stanley Robinson (see above…hate his leaking)
Marquette: David GD’ed Cubillan (whose name sounds like an amalgam of characters from The Usual Suspects)
Why so Syracuse?
Wow formerly top-10 team knocked out of first round of BET by St. Johns

calhoun's
swan song? tough way to go out. NIT prepares invitation addressed to Storrs.
"You switched the samples"
Just went to the trading floor to watch a bit of this game..
both teams are really bad…. tons of turnovers, lots of missed layups…
I think Uconn has been mailing it in… they are sick of Calhoun, and they want this performance to be Calhoun’s last memory of of the BE tournament before he retires.
which is less compelling...
…Providence – Hall or Rutgers – Cincy? These options make the Wizards game I’m attending tonight seem like a plausibly good time.

Providence-Hall will be better
no defense will at least be more interesting to watch than no offense.
