Getting N Sync with Greg Monroe
With the Hoyas season over and the rest of the NCAA Tournament rendered joyless (aside from any potential loss by Syracuse), I'm dedicating this space for us to show our mutual love and appreciation for Greg Monroe. Hopefully once Henry Sims sees this he'll alert Greg via twitter and he will have no choice but to remain at Georgetown for at least one more year. So Greg, in case you ever thought otherwise, we here at THE GLOBAL PHENOMENON want you back, and to prove it to you we're getting a little help from our friends in N Sync.
Greg,
You're all I ever wanted
You're all I ever needed
So tell me what to do now
Because I WANT YOU BACK.
Casually.

What #10 gets by staying
A chance to attain a viselike grip on the ball (kettlebells!) that will reduce turnovers and aid rebounding. Hand strength is how Dajuan Blair ran roughshod in college, and how he impresses as an undersized post in the NBA.
AND, another year means more time to develop a midrange game critical to NBA success. Greg shot 3s with pretty form even if he didn’t make many. If he can knock jumpshots from midrange, that will boost accuracy from 3.
FINALLY, win it all next year and I bet you take Free and CW with you to the 1st round.

or he could just do all of that in the pros and get paid millions
and tweet with his buddies Free and CW
Casually.
He stays because his mom's situation is stable
And she sent him to GU to pursue a degree, which is not likely if he only completes 3 semesters. He goes after his junior year. A little bird told me. Then he comes back to campus Jeff Green style. Rest easy…sometimes things are both better (he stays) and worse (we lost to a team Cornell would have beat by 30) than what they seem.

I'm worried
about Henry. I hope all is ok for him. His tweets earlier this week worried me and he hasn’t been tweeting lately. Greg should stick around to help out his good friends.

I don't remember where I read it
but somewhere it was written that Greg is on schedule to graduate in 3 years anyway. Truth?

Dear Greg,
You Sir, are on the brink of having a Jeff Green-esque breakout season of dominance thereby solidifying yourself as a LEGEND in Hoya and College basketball history. You’re a class act, a role model, nay a saint!
I love watching you play and I think you’re gonna straight up dominate your way to the heights you and all Hoya fans dream of taking the team to at the college level.
and if you do go, I know it will be the right choice for you. Because you don’t make bad decisions, except that you wear contacts that always fall out…you could get a new brand, then you would never make bad decisions.
you’re already the man, and if you come back you could be a legend.
Yours in Saxa,
Yeller

Hes gotta come back
If he comes back they will have a legitimate chance to be preseason #1 just because of their returners plus they get better because they’re bringing in Nate and Markel

who gives a crap about being preseason number 1?

listening to NSYNC is improving my otherwise dismal march
remembering a simpler time… middle school, an era of boy bands, social awkwardness, and glitter eyeshadow…
speaking of the dismal remainder of the tournament, i think we should all just vote on a team to support from here on out and start blogging about the selected team. it would give us something to do at work again, and we’d be doing something awfully nice for the chosen school… who wouldn’t appreciate this level of blogging excellence dropped on one’s lucky doorstep
it would be like
when Conan became a Twitter follower of that random woman and changed her life.
We could pick a team we’ve beaten, so we could say we beat the champions. Butler, Washington, perhaps. Duke & cuse, not so much.

I don’t have much interest in work right now. Cornell? St marys?

My vote’s still for Northern Iowa.
Why so Syracuse?
