Interpret the Tweet: Greg Monroe
Hmm, he's looking for a change. Maybe it's a different sauce on his pasta at Leo's? Or maybe it's switching his basketball shoes from Nike to Reebok? Or maybe he's going to declare for the NBA Draft?
Probably none of the above, but we've got nothing else to talk about.

To Reiterate
I will give up Guinness. Fair, right? Just let me know when. And I’d like to have one (or four) last one(s).

Good Luck Greg...
Hopefully you have a great career in the NBA. On another note…Gtown not looking to good inside next year.
if it's not too much of a hassle...
Can somebody actually post it or give the gist of it? The internet police here at work blocks twitter…thanks in advance.

ITT:
Grown men interpreting a “tweet” made by a random person and “retweeted” by Greg Monroe.
Also: a rather disheartening prospect for 21st century privacy.
"in this thread"
Sorry, it’s dweeby internet parlance.
Could also be "interpret the tweet" in this particular case

Yes I suppose that's true.
Greg is now tweeting up a storm about his future wife (currently a trending topic)… shall we analyze his taste of women as well?!
Gonna be a long offseason.
We should be
Playing Ohio St with a great chance to go to the final four. Instead we’re interpreting tweets from other people. Damn it all.
It's not you, it's me.
Yes, look at us...
interpreting tweets like fucking ANIMALS
He will...
be a very good pro. Rare for a guy with his size to be able to pass. Seems like a class act too. Tough loss for you guys if he does indeed go pro.

Not sure if the elegant sounds of Gus Johnson cheers me up or just cuts a little bit deeper.

Way to go guys
We know the players look at Casual Hoya… how long until he finds out that the bullshit speculation came from here?
This thread should be deleted immediately, and replaced with a picture of Greg Monroe inside of a Giant photoshopped Heart.

yea
those were not his words, but a retweet of someone else. monroe didnt say that
by TheDoctorIsIn on Mar 22, 2010 2:56 PM EDT up reply actions
He also retweeted someone quoting a song
If he next quotes “Changes” by David Bowie, then we have a problem.
Why so Syracuse?
In that case, I guess we know what's going to happen...
Greg Monroe stays for FOUR YEARS!
I agree with the person who commented on the article casual posted. Um we’ve been hearing out this potential lock out for year now and it’s still a year away. Um why don’t you try an fix it now? People basically act like it’s inevitable. Why not just hash out deal before then. lock out isn’t good for anyone. Why is it unavoidable?
The NBA is so uninteresting as it is
if they lock out, they are just cruising for even more people to stop paying attention.

frame of reference
this is what jeff green had to say after the final four loss to ohio state:
“Next year’s going to be a great year for us,” said Jeff Green, the Big East player of the year, “so I’ll be looking forward to it.”
Casually.
Greg Says #somethingaintright
with us putting words in his mouth (if my tweet interpretation is correct). Can the man just quote a fellow tweeter without NBA implications sometimes?
Chad Ford's latest 'Draft Stock'
Greg Monroe, F/C, Sophomore, Georgetown
Monroe’s numbers were solid against Ohio (19 points, 13 boards, six assists), but those who question Monroe’s heartbeat just got more ammunition. He’s too content to blend when he needs to carry. Monroe said after the game he’s staying at Georgetown for another year. We’ll see. His draft stock is as high as it’s going to get.
Casually.
yeah, you have to think if he returned and led the Hoyas to a deep tourney run
while averaging a double double, and providing a dominant defensive presence, there’s no way his draft stock wouldn’t rise.

It's all about long-term earning potential.
Monroe’s stock could easily go to Top 3 with a great season next year. As for the lock-out, it doesn’t have to be a full year – it could be a partial year. And let’s say Monroe jumps now and struggles next year in his rookie season and then loses the next season to the lock-out and the new agreement results in less pay/security for role players. Is that better than becoming a dominant (and more marketable) player in college and erasing all those doubts before entering the draft as a far more polished player? Likely the rookie age limit will increase too. Not sure when that would take effect but theoretically Monroe could enter draft without having to compete with next wave of one-and-doners. What this all means is that Greg should 100% stay for two more years and win two championships and then get drafted #1 and enjoy a long and prosperous NBA career.
You might want to get that checked out.
Sounds painful.

Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room.
No one would ever stay in college for the money.
Someone needs to get to the cafeteria with a fork...
or Monroe is going to go pro and have all the forks he’ll ever need.
