Georgetown Lady Hoyas Defeat Marist, Advance to Round of 32
Monica McNutt scored 14 points and Latia McGee added 11 as the 5th seeded Georgetown Lady Hoyas defeated the 12th seeded Marist Red Foxes (great name) in Georgetown's 1st appearance in the Women's NCAA Tournament in 17 years. The Lady Hoyas turned a narrow 2 point lead at halftime into a comfortable 15 point margin by scoring the first 13 points of the 2nd half. The win improves the Lady Hoyas to 1-0 in the NCAA Tournament. The men finished 0-1.

I'm not going to pretend I know the first thing about the Lady Hoyas, but I am finding that writing about the Lady Hoyas is helping me get over the national embarrassment that occurred a few days ago. The Lady Hoyas will next face 4th seeded Baylor on Monday. I may name my daughter Sugar Rodgers Casualhoya if we win the National Championship.

The Lady Hoyas helped me get through March 1993...
Their Sweet 16 run that year made it easier to tolerate the fact that the men didn’t make the NCAA tournament for the first time in over a decade — at least, until Kevin Millen bricked that shot in the NIT finals at the Garden.
We play Brittany Griner
the chick that punched the other chick if Baylor wins… seeing as we smoked Louisville in the brawl, I take us in 3 rounds over griner.
It's not a one-woman team you know
Go with Sugar McNutt CasualHoya, it rolls right off the tongue.
Speaking of Chicks......
I just visited HoyaTalk for the first time in a while. Usually gotta have a week or 2 after a loss before I can stand the whining. But this time it is out of control. Ladies trying to get the other ladies banned, locked up, etc…….reminds me of a country club.
