Revenge Tour 2010 Rolls On: Georgetown Stomps Marquette 80-57

Led by Greg Monroe's 23 points, 13 rebounds, and 7 assists, the Georgetown Hoyas rolled the Marquette Golden Eagles 80-57 in the Semifinals of the Big East Tournament.

One more to go.  via gadgetsteria.com

The Hoyas shot 54% from the field while holding Marquette to a woeful 37%, and outscored the Golden Eagles by 20 in the 2nd half.

The Georgetown Hoyas have now defeated USF, Cuse, and Marquette (all teams that it lost to in the regular season), and look to complete The Revenge Tour 2K10 in the Big East Championship tomorrow night against West Virginia.  The Hoyas have probably earned at least a 4 seed with this run at MSG, and a win tomorrow night will likely result in a 3 seed.  For West Virginia, however, the stakes are even higher, as a 1-seed is arguably on the line.

More on this to follow tomorrow, but for now we're going to grab a cocktail (or a dozen) and enjoy the moment.

We are Georgetown.

And tragedy of tragedies

just before Lost Boys II was about to begin shooting, a movie in which both Coreys were to make cameos. American cinema may never recover

I ate the blue ones ... they taste like burning.

Delusional

But if we win tomorrow can’t you make the argument for a 2 seed?

No lower than a 3
  1. - Syracuse, Kentucky, Kansas, Duke
  2. - Ohio St, Kansas St, West Virginia

Those are the 7 teams that will definitely be ranked ahead of us. That 8th slot could be ours, but I’d much rather be a #3 in Duke’s bracket than a #2 in Kansas’.

It's not you, it's me.

As an upstate NY native

I have been getting so much crap from my friends and family. How jealous are Cuse fans that we have a shot at winning the BET title?

You deserve a Roy Hibbert elbow to the face.
