Duke ahead of Hoyas in latest coaches poll?

Duke is 7th in the latest coaches' poll.

Georgetown is 8th in the same poll.

Did they forget to watch the games? Were they caught up in Kyle Singler's eyes? Intimidated by Coach K's rat face? Too busy reading Henry Sims' twitter to check head to head matchups? Or are they just bitter that they haven't received their Casual Hoya wristbands yet? The Global Phenomenom demands answers

Stay Casual, my friends.

I LOVE THIS!

This lunacy is almost as good as the Nova win. Duke sucks. I wish they were wire-to-wire number one every year no matter what happens. Then just think of how sweet the second round loss to some mid-major would be. OHHHHHH BLISSSSS.

true

the longer people think Duke is elite, the funnier it is when they are proven wrong

I can have oodles of charm when I want to.

bilas

agrees with this post.

he said during the nova-wvu game that "[i am] a little surprised that georgetown isnt ahead of duke [in the polls], i would have thought that given the beatdown the hoyas put on the blue devils that they would be ranked ahead of them’

that was a decent game that Nova controlled the whole way

I think we match up well with WVU, they have no pgs and no Cs, just a bunch of SFs.

Can we just fast forward to the BE Tourney? Outside of Cuse, all I want to see now out of this team is maybe a mini streak (with less than 15 TOs a game) to see if we can play four good games in a row and no injuries. Other than that, lets skip Feb.

reasons to keep playing in february

i certainly agree that i don’t want to see anyone get hurt and at this point i think that we have punched our ncaa ticket (fingers crossed)

only reasons to keep playing in february- 1 learn how to throttle opponents of a lesser caliber 2-keep getting the bench involved and gaining confidence, last 2 games a + for Hollis, maybe Benimon gets in the offensive flow as well 3-continued rounding out fo the starting five, amazing balance, just look how clark stepped up against ’nova, must have been the hooters visit

Why does it matter??

If Gtown ends up ranked 6th and Duke is 8th or vice versa they’ll both likely still be 2 seeds anyways, so there is no difference.

I'll take the outcome of tonight's edition of "the greatest rivalry in christendom"

Duke avoids a trap, and thus does not sully our beat down of them, but looks pretty crappy doing it (barely cracking 30% shooting). Meanwhile UNC slither further away from the dance, which is just amusing.

Shame UConn couldn’t seal the deal against the unclean.

uconn

never cheered like that for them before

they cracked the cuse zone well in the second half – just couldnt get the breaks (ahem, Cahill favoritism)

Good talk.
