Weather for Saturday's Game
Since DC seems to collapse under even a minor snowstorm (though I thank the Arlington school system for closing today, the commute in is much easier when most are at home with their spawn), what will happen if we get the dreaded second snowpocalypse on Friday into Saturday?

I know the unfortunate game against ODU went ahead during the last storm, but that was in McDonough. Is there anyone with experience dealing with getting to the phone booth in the past during a blizzard?
Stay Casual, my friends.

Blizzard of 2003
There was a Pitt game scheduled for Big Monday. Huge snowstorm hit the East Coast over the weekend and the game got pushed until Tuesday because they couldnt find refs who could make it in time. Snow should not be a problem for a Saturday game for the refs, they can come overnight. I am sure Nova will drive down Thursday night or Friday morning.
For that game in 2003, I hiked from Georgetown to Rosslyn in knee deep snow, waited 30 minutes for a metro, got to the game where the student section was 4 rows of chairs behind one basket. Attendance was like we were playing Lafayette, probably like 5,000.
Remember it vividly, near the end of the game Julius Page shoved Drew Hall under the basket.
Good talk.
use your feet
they’ll only cancel if villanova can’t get here. They only get the building on certain dates…can’t just call next.
anyone have gray snow pants I can borrow?
gonna be a long walk!

Nothing like wiping away any home court advantage...
by playing the #2 team in the country in front of 3,500 fans…. Let’s hope they reschedule… Capitals play at Noon on Sunday…. Nova due at WVU on Monday night…. Hoyas due at Providence on Tuesday night

if those brave MASN guys can make it to the ODU game
during the last 18 inch storm, Nova can make it to the Verizon Center.

according to mapquest
it’s exactly 3.3 miles from healy circle to the verizon center….no excuse for students not to take the walk. For god’s sake, when i was young i walked ten miles a day to school in the snow…..each way.
I agree
All this talk about students not showing up, we have the #7 team in the country, we are playing the #2 team in the country, they pay approximately $8 dollars to get 15th row seats to that game. I paid $50 for the last seat in the house against Duke. Get to the effing games you little bitches.

seriously
the team made the NCAA’s like once while I was on the hilltop in the middle of the Esherick years, and we still had better attendance then the current crop of students

Orgo test on Monday
will be on even if Weiss has to leave two days before. However, even though I know no organic chemistry and need to teach myself the subject this weekend, I will be at the game, no matter what. I hate our students and their lack of passion. My High School sports SUCKED, so I appreciate the living shit out of it.

Might as well
just play the game in an Airport Hangar or some other undisclosed location. As fans, the students or season tix holders that blew off the game don’t deserve to watch it in person!

That comment
From a man who is trying to unload his tickets because he is afraid of making the drive…
Would you make the drive?
I am not spending the majority of the weekend trying to listen to the game from Maryland House or Chesapeake House. I mean, I like Roy Rogers as much as the next guy, but….
This coming from the man that screwed the team and put me in this position by choosing not to sit in his normal seats and hobnobbing and drinking high-priced beverages with the cigar smokers and bailed out bankers in the president’s suite!

Per the link up top
40% chance of 10-16 inches
40% chance of 16+ inches
I’m no mathematician, but that means we have an 80% chance of a Greg Oden-like snowfall
It's not you, it's me.
