can someone tell me why they are expected to be any good? #6 in the country good? redding and reynolds leave. their only big men are antonio pena and marouph yarou (who people think is good? seriously? - that's like us talking up moses abraham because he is big, foreign, and therefore "intruiging"). scottie reynolds was their entire team for the past 8 years. corey fisher is good okay, but that is one guy. stokes is overrated, and their #2 option is supposedly maalik waynes... maalik wayns the 6'1 baby faced sophmore who averaged 6.8 ppg last season. i guess thats a nice freshman year, and given time to develop maybe he'll be the nba talent eventually as some suspect, but the second best player on the 6th overall team in the country? you. have. got. to. be. kidding. me... am i missing something here, or has the mainstream media just blindly accepted that villanova is an elite program and will continue to be an elite program no matter the players they have on the floor? someone please help me understand. if they do succeed this season i give full credit to jay wright.
