Midnight Madness Arrives at Georgetown: What Songs Should The Players Come Out To?

Today is the day we have all been waiting for.  Finally, after seven long months of lunch and headbands and hate and loathing, the season begins.  We're looking forward to sweeping victories, crushing losses, delusional love, and cynical disgust.  But first, we have to celebrate with Wale and 1,800 other rabid Georgetown fans at Midnight Madness tonight.

Unless someone decides to shoot a toilet again, the most exciting part of the night is when the men's basketball team comes out to raucous cheers.  It seems that the players have been struggling with their songs to enter the gym, so we here at THE GLOBAL PHENOMENON have some suggestions.

After The Jump read our asinine suggestions on which songs the players should choose.

Nate Lubick:  The Offspring - Pretty Fly For A White Guy

Pretty self explanatory.

Markel Starks:  Lil Wayne - Fireman

The man we expect to be the sparkplug off the bench.  Especially timely because it was one of Lil Wayne's younger songs.  Free Weezy.

Aaron Bowen:  Flo Rida - Club Can't Handle Me

He's from Florida, so is Flo Rida.  Both are underdogs who will produce big hits.

Moses Ayegba:  James Brown - Living in America

One year of high school ball in the states and he's already a big hit, welcome Moses.

Ryan Dougherty and John Caprio:  Beck - Loser

For the walk-ons.  Just kidding guys! XOXO.

Hollis Thompson:  Katy Perry - California Girls

Because he's from Cali and built like a female model.  And because Katy Perry has nice you-know-whats.

Vee Sanford:  Dr. Dre Featuring Eminem - Forgot About Dre

For the forgotten member of our back court.  Don't sleep on him.

Jerrelle Benimon:  Patty Smyth and Scandal - The Warrior

My favorite video growing up was NBA Superstars, and this was the song for Charles Barkley.  For some reason Jerrelle reminds me of Barkley.

Henry Sims:  The Pretenders - I'll Stand By You

No matter what has happened Hank, we've always stood by you, and we always will.

Jason Clark:  Bon Iver - Skinny Love

To my favorite skinny man.  This song should really get the crowd going.

Julian Vaughn:  Nivea Featuring Jagged Edge - Don't Mess With My Man

Because teams are going to attack him without Greg Monroe around.  And because I have a massive man crush on him.

Chris Wright:  Mannie Fresh - Real Big

This song reminds me of chaos and college and getting pumped up.  The only time I feel a similar rush now is when I watch Chris Wright play basketball.  He needs to be the energy and tone setter for this team.  He needs to be REAL BIG.

Austin Freeman:  Kanye West Featuring Rick Ross, Jay-Z and Nicki Minaj - Monster

I mean, you've seen him, you get it.  He's going to have an enormous senior year.

John Thompson III:  Bruce Springsteen - Born To Run

He has the horses to run this year.  Please, JT3, speed it up, let us get out in transition.
