Starks sparks Prep
Riding a fast start and 28 points from senior guard Markel Starks, the visiting Little Hoyas endured a late Bullis comeback bid for a 71-63 victory Tuesday in the Interstate Athletic Conference opener for both teams.
Josh Barr 's Recruiting Insider - Starks says it all with his play
With a quiet confidence, Starks continually drove to the basket, exhorted his teammates to keep shooting and generally exuded an air of confidence without forcing things at either end of the court. "He had 28 points?" Bullis Coach Bruce Kelley asked. "He probably didn't even take 15 shots," Georgetown Prep Coach Dwayne Bryant said. Actually, Starks took exactly 15 shots, making eight even though he missed his final five three-point attempts. The Georgetown recruit also had seven rebounds and five assists and showed a newfound ability to let the game come to him.
