Georgetown 4th in Big East Power Rankings

This yahoo has then Hoyas finishing 4th in the Big East in his Conference 'power rankings', a term I have always thought is much more casual than 'preview':

Georgetown – Not many teams in the country were as disappointing last season as the Hoyas, who finished 16-15 and failed to make the NCAA tournament. Still, with three McDonald’s All-Americans (Greg Monroe, Austin Freeman and Chris Wright) in the projected starting lineup, John Thompson’s squad should be good enough to catapult back toward the top of the standings. Freeman and Wright averaged a combined 23.9 points as backcourt starters last season. Monroe, a center and future lottery pick, was named Big East Freshman of the Year.

Anyone else getting sick of seeing Villanausea consistently on top in all of these early rankings?

Going to get hammered this weekend.

Casually.

BEAST OF THE BIG EAST

Nova will dominate the Big East next season! Get ready to see JTIII put Greg Monroe at the top of the key again…..

Bearcats > Hoyas

Shouldn’t Cincinnati be ranked above Georgetown? Didn’t they beat them twice in the regular season Big East play? They’ll be adding Lance who is an automatic lottery pick and possible NBA star.

by that logic...

georgetown should be ahead of nova since hoyas beat the cats last year.

Good talk.
