New York Mets Fans: We Feel Your Pain
To all of those Georgetown Hoyas fans out there who have been tortured by the New York Mets throughout the years just as I have, I just want you to know that I feel your pain. I live your pain. He really lives your pain.
I'm not sure what I have done to deserve the lifetime burden that rooting for the Mets has become, but for better or worse I have dealt with it, hoping somehow that sometime, just like for Hoyas fans in 2007, that the devotion will be repaid. But year after year of excruciating losses and mind-numbing disasters, here I sit waiting, just hoping that one day our luck will turn.
To get over the debacle that was last night's loss to the Yankees, I suggest you head over to our friends at Amazin' Avenue, whose analysis and rants during and after the game have been strangely therapeutic.
At least Luis Castillo didn't go to Georgetown.
In the meantime, feel free to sing along...
Have a great weekend.
Casually.

What the hell is this?
You go from blogging about Vernon Macklin to blogging about the Mets? This is bullshit! Why don’t you just tart recapping WNBA games and we can call it a day?
Good job Santana
way to start practicing for your inevitable late-September choke
go yanks.
Good talk.
I seem to remember
That it took the “lifelong” Mets fan, Casual, all of about .00003 seconds to abandon the Mets in 1996 to jump on the Yankees bandwagon. For shame, sir, for shame.
I ate the blue ones ... they taste like burning.
Goon
Lies!
You probably thought I was someone else when you woke up on the floor with the funnel in your mouth.
