Update: Hoyas at Tulane Officially on Friday, November 13th

UPDATE NUMERO CUATRO:

According to the New Orleans Times-Picayune, the game against Tulane will be at 8pm.

That's 8pm central time.

Casually.

UPDATE NUMERO TRES:

As we reported two months ago, according to the Tulane blog's twitter feed, the game will in fact be on Friday, November 13th.  See you in the Big Easy.

.........................

UPDATE PART DEUX: I am hearing that the Tulane game will take place on Friday night, November 13th in the home opener for the Green Wave at its on-campus Arena.

TRAP is a four-letter word.

........................

UPDATE: According to the New Orleans Times-Picayune, this game will be the 1st in a home and home series, with the Green Wave to play at Verizon in 2010 while Greg Monroe is playing for the Memphis Grizzlies.

.........................

It appears that the Hoyas will be playing Tulane at the Green Wave's on-campus Fogelman Arena, and not the New Orleans Arena.

Fogelman has a capacity of 3,600 and, like McDonough, is hardly a state-of-the-art facility.  Having the game on-campus gives Tulane the chance to get a rare sellout and bring both the program and university some nice national publicity.  The upside for the fans is that unlike most on-campus arenas in the nation, you can buy booze at Fogelman.  I repeat, you can buy booze at Fogelman.

Playing the game on campus will give the Wave more of a homecourt advantage, but the Hoyas still shouldn't have a problem getting a W in this one.

Then again, I felt the same away when they played St. John's.

Twice.

Casually.

We may not agree with anything you say, but we will fight to the death for your right to say it.

Friday night you say?

Well, at least one Hoya fan won’t be coming back home from NOLA…yep, me.
