Around SBN: How A Letter From Tom Coughlin Helped One Fan's Recovery

Looking Ahead

Now that the 2008-09 season is all but a distant memory, it is time to look ahead to next season.  People already have begun to assemble their predictions and rank the top teams.  Those people are stupid.  Seeing how I am about to link to all those predictions, I guess I am pretty stupid too.

Listed below are the publications and their top three teams for the 2009-10 season.  Follow the links for the full lists (note: Georgetown will not be on any of them).

New York Times - #1 North Carolina, #2 Michigan St., #3 Purdue

NBC - #1 Kansas, #2 Syracuse, #3 Kentucky

SI - #1 Michigan St., #2 Kansas, #3 Syracuse

The Big Lead - #1 Syracuse, #2 Duke, #3 North Carolina

Chicago Tribune - #1 Kansas, #2 Syracuse, #3 North Carolina

OSF - #1 Duke, #2 Kansas, #3 Syracuse

Beyond the Arc - #1 Kansas, #2 Syracuse, #3 Duke

Good talk.

Stupid people

That Pete Thamel guy at the NYT is a moron. UNC #1??? Does he not understand that seniors can not come back for another season? And that Ty Lawson and Ellington will probably leave too? Yeah the recruiting class might be nice, but c’mon man let’s be real. Losing Hansb, Lawson, Green, and Ellington and you still go them at #1? Ridiculous.

And Xavier #9 after losing S.Miller and 2 of their best players? How does a team which didn’t win their tournament and was knocked out in the 2nd round of the NCAAs and loses their coach and 2 star players move up in the rankings?
