Welcome to the Hilltop: Vee Sanford

More to come on our new shooting guard in the days to follow, but here's your first glimpse:

Word out of Kentucky is that Vee is a 'system guy', and he seems like a great first step for JT3 to rebuild the Georgetown system with guys he can mold as opposed to kids who consistently drive to the hoop and clang layups off the rim.  In addition, it looks like he is particularly adept at wearing headbands and dunking, both of which were sorely missed last season.

Casually.

Bad Hamburgers

As long as he is not a McDonald’s All American then I am fine with this. Also, I can’t help but notice that we beat out Baylor for this kid. SUCK IT, NIT FINALISTS!

I like the Swagger

Welcome to Georgetown, Vee. Work hard, and the fans will love you forever. I think you made a great decision.

Flat Top on the Hilltop

Time for me to breakout my Starter jacket and pretend to not have cried when Ricky got shot in Boyz n the Hood.

Good talk.

If you erection lasts for more than 4 hours...

Please seek medical attention.

Now, what do we really expect from Vee next year?

- 2nd guard off the bench behind Clark?
- 4 year player?
- Complete surprise like Wallace?
- Grow to love like Ashanti?
- Nikita never sees the court again?
- All of the above?

I’m thinking he plays a role similar to what Clark did this season. 10 min/game, 4 pts, 2 asst, 1 TO, 1 foul.

But I hope I am dead wrong and he helps out immensely by grabbing 10 boards a game.

Good talk.

starting line up next year

I would like to see
Wright, Freeman, Hollis, Monroe, Vaughn
With Clark, Sims, Nik and Vee coming off the bench – this is a bigger, better rebounding line-up and I think Freeman is much better as off-guard

But I think it will be
Wright, Clark, Freeman, Hollis/Sims, Monroe
with Vee, Sims/Hollis, Vaugn and Nik

I think it is more likely

Wright, Freeman, Hollis, Sims, Monroe. I think this is certainly the most talented lineup and I would love to see it.

Clark, Vaughn and Vee coming off the bench right now (with someone else hopefully joining).

"Hope is a good thing, maybe even the best of things, and no good thing ever dies." - At this point it's all we have.

Id be fine with that

I think our 3 guard experiment flubbed this year and just want to avoid that. The only reason I want to see Vaughn start is to bang and keep monroe out of foul trouble. Sims could still get the majority of the mintues.
