Guess he actually listened to my song. First time he has listened to anyone this season.

LW
If this doesn’t make Latavious Williams rush to the Hilltop, I don’t know what will.

D League
Brendan Bowman can probably offer him some pointers on how to play well in Fresno.

Jan. 23 ESPN Draft notes on Summers
A hot prospect right now, Summers is having a breakout season at
Georgetown and proving to many scouts that he could be a Rashard
Lewis-type player in the pros. In many ways, he is the prototypical
forward: He can play both the 3 and the 4, and is able to shoot the
ball with range, rebound and handle the ball. We have him currently
ranked No. 17 on the big board. But if he plays well during the NCAA
tournament, he could slip into the late lottery.

Hahaha
On Jan. 23 Georgetown still had a shot at a Top 5 seed in the tourney. And then the rest of Jan/Feb/Mar happened and we were a 6 seed in the NIT.
The only JT3 recruit to graduate from Georgetown has been Sapp. Interesting…
Good talk.

A Little Surprised by this one
He had a little hype mid way through the season, but this is a bold move to hire an agent and declare as by the end of the season much of the hype had dissipated. He’s somewhere in the 40s on Chad Ford’s board (although that has some players that won’t come out). I just don’t get it.

Conspiracy Theory
With all the new blood we are going after, do you think JT3 told him he should go to free up a schollie?
I don’t think 3 would do that, he isn’t Calhoun…
Good talk.

Doubt it
But I don’t know that I’m opposed to that theory…even if it puts III a little closer to Calhoun.

NBA
Draft Express has him going in second round to…. the Wizards…
Can’t get away from Verizon.
I don’t think he is a bad NBA prospect, it is a pretty weak draft outside the top 5-10.
Good talk.

So
This place loves speculation.
Rampant speculation on the talkboard, which hates speculation, that two more names are two follow.
Monroe would be bad, very bad really, but not unexpected. Wright would pretty much devastate me. Clark and Sims probably next most upsetting. Freeman, eh, fairly replaceable, but still not good to lose. Don’t think Julian would be itching to move again. And I wouldn’t lose sleep if it was Omar or Nikita obviously.

I Love Rumors
Monroe – would love if he stayed but it would be stupid if he didn’t go. This is a weak draft, he will easily be a top 5 pick.
Wright – could easily see why he goes, our offense did not let him run the ball the way he wanted to. If Summers was upset about not being the star of the team (as per Post or Times article stating he fought with Hibbert last year) I can easily see Wright fearing the same thing.
Freeman – he is a solid player, but partly the reason why don’t get any rebound with a 6-4 guard playing the 3.
Clark – I don’t think he leaves
Sims – He will be a starter next year, heard that Riley decommitted because JT3 couldn’t promise him playing time over Sims.
Omar and Nikita – who cares
ALL OF THIS BEGS THE QUESTION – HOW MUCH IS JT3 TO BLAME FOR THE TRANSFERS.
All rebuilding programs go through growing pains but this seems excessive.
Good talk.

I'm as big a III supporter as anyone
But if there are TWO more transfers, it is time to start taking a hard look at the coach.

Expect the worst
I am certain there will be lessons learned by the coach if it does happen. Media Accolades aren’t everything that they seem to be.

Collect Call from 'DaJuan'
I like how JT3 said that Summers is “in the process of choosing an agent.”
I can just picture Summers sitting in his dorm room chucking up horrible 3s with his nerf hoops set and calling up agents randomly after every single one hangs up on him.

Who Would You Pick?
Assuming this whole “2 more are leaving” rumor holds some validity, who would you think it would be?
I never understood why a sophomore would transfer but I think it would end up being Monroe and Freeman.
Wright – Despite why I see him as wanting to break out of this offense (what I wrote above), he has already missed the majority of a season due to injury, don’t see him sitting out another one.
Clark – I think he will excel in our offense, and he is a good defender once he starts to move his feet instead of reaching
Sims – Has the potential to get a lot of playing time next year if Monroe goes pro.
Good talk.
