Calipari to Kentucky...

CasualHoya received this nugget earlier today.

Take away whatever you want from it, especially since we encourage rampant speculation and baseless allegations more than anyone....

.....................................................................

Calipari to KY is a done deal according to a person close to the situation.

I think it is great for college basketball - Calipari vs. Pitino every year.  Or at least until Cal gets busted.

The amazing thing is if this happens before the April signing period you will see Demarcus Cousins, Xavier Henry, and possibly John Wall all bolting to UK.  Memphis won't have a letter of intent to hold them.

WOW

Casually.

Current Memphis assistant coach and former Pitt assistant will become a hot commodity. He was a major reason why Pitt was able to land so many big men over the past few years and why Memphis is doing the same right now.

Also, Memphis has a couple of commits that decided between them and Pitt. I wonder if Pitt will take another look. Previewing the Pitt recruiting class tomorrow which is already loaded with big men.

If Wall doesn’t follow Cal, will he go to Duke? Then what will happen to Nolan Smith and Elliot Williams? Smith already tried to transfer last year after Dawkins left.

Good talk.

I heard

Amid all of the reports yesterday that Calipari would be taking all of his assistants with him. All of this could be moot though if he doesn’t actually leave.

Did you see the streaming of the door to the Memphis Athletic Offices? It was pretty funny.

"Hope is a good thing, maybe even the best of things, and no good thing ever dies." - At this point it's all we have.
