A Reason to Smile
Happy happiest day of your life Hoya fans! Five years ago today, President Jack DeGioia appeased the Hoya faithful by asking Craig Esherick to step down from his post as leader of the Georgetown Men's Basketball program. And since that glorious day Georgetown has had:
Four McDonald's All American recruits,
Three NCAA Tournament berths,
Two Big East Regular Season titles,
One Final Four finish,
And a partridge in a pear tree.
Below, a tribute to the legend, his facial expressions and his fancy and intricate play calling abilities:
What was your least favorite and most memorable Esherick moment?
Good talk.

Right fist in the air
left hand on hip underneath blazer. Classic.
It’s just like Gary’s “55” except without the successfulness…
2 Things
1) Have you SEEN that mustache? Nuff said. Even Burt Reynolds and Tom Selleck notice that stache.
2) Seeing him analyzing college basketball a year after he was canned and knowing how Lions fans must feel seeing Matt Millen as an NFL analyst: sick to my stomach.
Because the Hoyas need some good old fashioned toughness
