PrintGeorgetown dominated American 73-46 on the backs of Henry Sims (yes, that Henry Sims), who had a career high 12 points and 4 rebounds, and Julian Vaughn, with 11 points and 7 rebounds.
Chris Wright added 12 points, while Austin Freeman, Jason Clark and Greg Monroe each had 9 points. Georgetown outrebounded American 37-26, with Monroe contributing 13 rebounds.
The cupcakes are officially done. Next up for the Hoyas are the Butler Bulldogs on Tuesday at Madison Square Garden, and then cross country to face the Washington Huskies on Saturday.
