Georgetown Defeats St. John's 66-59 in New Year's Eve Bash

Certainly wasn't pretty but Georgetown squeaked out a victory against St. John's tonight.  Chris Wright led all players with 21 points while Greg Monroe and Austin Freeman each contributed 15 points.

Depth will be a problem, as only two players saw time off the bench, and neither scored.  But a win is a win in conference play, right?

This marked the first time Georgetown has defeated St. John's in 2009.  Forced to throw in a corny end of the year remark, which coincidentally goes along great with the three piece wool pinstripe suit I donned at the game.

More coverage tomorrow.  Time to watch the ball drop.  Happy New Year.

Given it was St. John's

I gotta ask, who was wearing the ugly sweater tonight?

I ate the blue ones ... they taste like burning.
