History Repeats: Georgetown Falls to Old Dominion at McDonough 57 - 61
Well, that sucked. To all the Old Dominion trolls who wish to flood this site, please sign in below.
Georgetown continued its streak of sucking against Old Dominion in McDonough. They are now 0-3 all time against the Monarchs in their on-campus gym.
We all knew this was a trap game, and I never expected Georgetown to enter Big East play with an untarnished record, but to lose in our actual home arena and play like poppycock for 35 minutes is embarrassing and disappointing. We had no answer to the Monarchs on defense, looked like Old Dominion was playing in their own practice gym.
And oh yeah, we had 18 turnovers. We made it exciting in the end. We made MASN glad they trucked over to McDonough in the worst snow storm in two decades to broadcast this game but we had 18 turnovers. No excuse for that.
Harvard is next, hopefully JT3 makes the team shovel some snow in the meanwhile.
Good talk.

homecoming?
You already are a perennial homecoming opponent for our football team.
Would you consider being the same for our basketball team?
Go ODU, go CAA.
And seriously, I really respect the fact that you will schedule us home and home. Not many majors do that, for the very reason of tonight’s outcome. Best of luck the remainder of the year, and hopefully this result will lead to a repeat of your final four appearance last time this happened.

screw you, pal!
You and your polite good feeling and well wishes can get right back on a bus to the tidewater.
I don’t want kind words and friendship. I want an asteroid to descend from the heavens and DESTROY THE ENTIRE PLANET so I can forget this game.
(And where are we in the home-and-home? I totally want to go to Norfolk next year and salvage some dignity.)

Sick! Thats the way this lose makes me feel. How? Why? and What the F@##.
Our zone D sucks! why does JT# keep playing it? These type off loses should never ever happen to a good team. I know im all over the place but im flooded with a lot of anger right now. AND WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU EVER PUT IN NIKITI? DAMN IT! Now all the talk will be turned to last years BS to this year. GET TOUGH HOYAS, STOP BEING SOFT AND “F” SOMEBODY UP LIKE THE OLD HOYA WOULD HAVE, A LITTLE BLOOD ON THE COURT NEVER HURT!

lordprick-
In response to your question about our series, the game next year is in Norfolk, so you will get to travel 3 hours to get your little liberal pansy arses spanked again. Leave your cheerleaders at home, as cattle is not allowed in our state-of-the-art arena.
Your article on this site was insulting and full of cockiness. Sucks when you throw smack out and it comes back and hits you squarely between the eyes.
Happy holidays

At the end of the day
You are Old Dominion.
We are Georgetown.
Good luck against Duquesne.
Casually.
I hope you realize you’re one Big East break-up away from being irrelevant in basketball. Mark my words…Georgetown WILL be the next Bradley in due time. There are a bunch of programs out there that are drenched deep in tradition that don’t have a place in the basketball world anymore, and Georgetown is quickly walking that path to mediocrity. If you knew anything about your own school, you should see the signs that you’re on a declining athletic path. And if you knew anything about ODU, you’ll see that we’re poised to surpass you. Just remember, everything’s a conference shift away.
so we’re one conference shift away from our best nba player being chris gatling?
Good talk.

Erroneous on all counts
This may have been true in like 1960. Now, college hoops is a business first, an athletic outlet for academic scholars a distant 367th. Read any article (there was a recent one by Katz) about how the NCAA flourishes when certain programs are successful and figure prominently in the headlines, and Gtown, along with the usual suspects like Duke, Kentucky, UNC, etc. get top billing. This is known as the “New York Yankees” effect. People tend to pay more attention to the sport as a whole and drive up revenue when the popular teams are successful. Same reason that in this recession, some banks were just too big and important to fail and got bailouts. Rest assured, this is a business, and if any conference turmoil results, Gtown will be “to big to fail.” Hope you were taking notes. Write it down.
If ODU fails, a few hicks don’t get to ride the tilt-a-whirl in June and go to Six Flags instead.
Are you a loser? Yes. Yes you are. ODU owns Georgetown.
You (or whoever) wrote an article full of shit talking. When you look back and realize what a little pathetic moron, you can try to make a point. But any points made now, are useless, because you’re a loser!
The comment above me (lordprick) is completely correct. That article called ODU a sad little basketball school. So…that makes Georgetown?
100% correct
georgetown must transfer all big east titles, ncaa tournament wins and nba player diplomas to old dominion.
transitive property of basketball. rewrite the history books, old dominion beat houston 84-75 in 1984
Good talk.

WEEK 15
Didn’t get nearly enough out of Colston and Meachem tonight.
Frankly, that is what angers me the most.
Casually.
On the plus side of the Saints collapse
Is that it fucks Gottwald in the playoffs of our fantasy league. So at least there’s that bright side.
BTW, WHY THE HELL DO WE KEEP PLAYING ODU??? The losing to them is one thing, but there is absolutely no reason to play them as even if we were to win (which, apparently, we will never do), there is no up-side to it. This is the quintessential example of a lose-lose game.
I ate the blue ones ... they taste like burning.
Thanks hoyas
Can you make sure we play all our games in that rat hole gym?
We really kinda like kicking your ass there.
BTW do you have a chess team or something because we own you in football and basketball just wondering what other was we can embarrass you.
Good luck the rest of the way cocky losers.
How does it feel to get humiliated by cute little Monarch butterflies.

enjoy the roller coasters.
Good talk.

I ate the blue ones ... they taste like burning.
A favor
Could all the ODU fans who are logging onto this site from a) their mom’s basement in hampton roads, b) a best buy, or c) the computer lab for their algebra class, please click on some of the ads?
