Drew Gordon Interested in Georgetown
Gordon's Dad Names Interested Parties
UCLA transfer Drew Gordon has listed Georgetown as one of his potential transfer schools. I doubt he leaves the West Coast, but would be a huge coup for us if he did. Questions? Comments? Concerns?
We may not agree with anything you say, but we will fight to the death for your right to say it.

could be a solid stop gap
If he could play by christmas next year, then at least he is around for 2.5 years. And assuming monroe goes, then Sims, Vaughn and Lubbick does not inspire confidence as a front court.
That said, jumping from Howland to JTIII does not make much sense me if I were Gordon.
will gordon be able to play next year?
does this year count as his sit out year?
christmas doesnt get to college until 2011 but roscoe would be a nice addition next year
Good talk.

think you have to sit two full academic semesters at the school you transfered to in order to play
so gordon better school quickly otherwise he wont be eligible until fall 2011
Good talk.

He left the team during the first quarter this year.
So as long as he doesn’t end up at another Pac-10 team, he will be eligible by the end of the first semester next year, so mid Dec 2010. He will then have 2.5 years of eligibility left.
But as a UCLA fan (now a Georgetown student), I think Gordon is more trouble than he’s worth. I’m not sure why he signed with Howland if he was planning to start complaining from day 1 about not playing an up-tempo game (had he ever watched a UCLA game in the past 5 years?), but my guess is that JTIII’s Princeton offense wont make him any happier.
His dad is just trying to create some buzz, but he will most likely end up at a mid-major (my money’s on San Diego State) and could make the NBA on his athletic ability.
I wish him luck, just anywhere but here.
zags

Pass
Not a good fit – by all accounts this guy thought he would make the leap quickly but couldn’t hack it in the slowdown game that Howland runs. Won’t be any better in Gtown’s attack.
Big ego with big baggage.

Walker
Maybe Mo Walker will reconsider his ‘lean’ to Pitt seeing as how they are having a stellar year.

Eric McKnight
rumors circulating of Georgetown’s interest in this guy:
Eric McKnight PF/C (6-9, 215)
2010, Raleigh, N.C./Princeton Day Academy
McKnight, a 2010 prospect, was outstanding throughout the three-day event. A 6-foot-9 post, McKnight is a long, athletic jumping jack. He has great mobility and agility that allows him to beat his man up and down the floor. McKnight never stops competing and is always well-placed around the basketball. He challenges all shots in the lane and is adept at blocking shots from the weakside because of his length and timing. McKnight displayed a soft touch around the basket and was able to finish above the rim with layups or thunderous dunks. He moved into open areas on guard penetration and made himself available for drop-off passes. McKnight was able to catch a number of poor passes and finish in traffic. He attacks the offensive glass and refuses to be blocked out; he grabs rebounds at the highest point and pursues the ball outside of his area.
Big men Thompson, Kanter impressive
Not much else available on him
Good talk.

Thanks for the hope
I will admit to a certain schadenfreude seeing Riley sit on the pine and macklin look pretty average against BE competition. Still wish we had one of those guys, or even Braswell for some front court depth.
oh well.

LeMoyne
Watching Cuse last night, I would argue LeMoyne is the best team in the country right now
