Jon Wallace Selected In D-League Draft
Well, the answer to your first question is: Yes, the NBA Development League has a draft. (The D-League even has its own blog on SB Nation too: Ridiculous Upside. It is actually an excellent blog and the guys that run it have a deep knowledge of the goings on in the league. So if you ever want info on Patrick Ewing Jr. or now Wallace, hit them up. They'll know.) It was mentioned in a FanShot earlier that Latavious Williams, a former sideshow recruit, was drafted in the first round of the draft. At least that saga is finally over and Hire Esherick can rest easy. In an equally surprising move, everyone's favorite Hoya PG was also drafted last night. Wallace was drafted in the 2nd round by the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. I know he isn't quick, but given his basketball IQ and ability to not make mistakes, Wallace should be a decent player in the D-League and keeps his NBA hopes (thin though they are) alive.
With Roy Hibbert being labeled a beast, Jeff Green playing like a potential all star on a greatly improved team and now this, it's been a pretty good week for Hoya basketball alums. Well, at least if you ignore the whole Iverson saga.
Stay Casual, my friends.

i have become so close with latavious
the daily changes with the recruiting of that guy single-handedly got me through the summer, thanks for acknowledging the special, albeit, one-way, bond i had with latavious BIG.
in other news – how long until wallace is an assistant for gtown?
Good talk.
your coverage
was simply unrivaled. It is just a shame we couldn’t get him here. Then the bond would have been cemented.
I give it at least one more season, but by 10-11 he could very well be on the bench (if Tyler Crawford doesn’t beat him to it).

i really should consider
naming my kid latavious.
unfortunately – i have given up the naming rights to my first three children already during drunk discussions, similar to the one i am having right now, with myself.
Good talk.
